Craig A. Miller, assistant professor of history and political science, explores “Technology, Power and Responsibility" in this colloquium. Miller uses the construction of the transcontinental railroad as a thought-provoking springboard to discuss the broader connection between choices and consequences. While viewed as a technological marvel, the railroad forced the relocation of Native Americans and altered the workforce. The presentation is part of Penn College's Centennial Colloquia focused on technology and society.
