Presented by Dr. Kelly Butzler, Naim Jabbour & Rob Cooley
(Recorded December 14, 2020)
Learning and teaching online is drastically changing the landscape of higher education. Online learning has been demonstrated to increase access to educational resources and experiences, engage students in active learning, differentiate instruction, and increase the rate of student learning by increasing motivation. Although teaching online or in a blended learning environment can be challenging to many faculty, you will learn from experienced online Penn College faculty how to facilitate learning through authentic activities, collaborative assignments, and class discussions. Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:
- learn best practices for transitioning your face-to-face class to the online or blended learning environments; and
- discuss pros and cons to moving courses and/or programs online.
