In this oral history, Dr. Daniel J. Doyle, emeritus professor and winner of the Pennsylvania College of Technology Master Teacher Award, talks about his early interest in history, his education, and his decisions to become a teacher and later an administrator. He describes his first impressions of the College, his job interview, courses he taught and created over the years and the teaching environment of his classes. He talks about the social changes during the Vietnam War and the returning veteran students. He mentions the faculty strike in 1973 and a few years later when the College locked out the faculty. Dr. Doyle reminisces about his friendships with both peers and students and their influences on him over the years. He retired from full-time teaching in 2005 and continued teaching on a part-time basis. He has been very instrumental in collecting the oral histories for the institution's 2014 centennial celebration.
